It has been so long since I have spent my month of August home. I moved abroad a few years ago and I usually try to spend the Christmas holidays in France but it does feel nice to re-experience Summer with friends and family.
I come from the region of Brittany, where the weather is always unpredictable and landscape can often be mistaken for the United Kingdom. We do have our own Celtic fairy tales and legends (including a version of King Arthur) and are the homeland of the best crepes and cider money can buy.
Having grown near the beach, I often miss the laid backed feeling of it now that I am living in a big and noisy city. Even if it rains one second and shines the next, spending a calm afternoon away of it all felt like heaven. With the sound of seagulls and the views, what more can you ask for?
Coming back home after such a long time also means that the few weeks to come will be very busy. From a visit to Paris to my back and forth all around Brittany, I am sure my vacation will be as fast as a blink of an eye. I will try to make the most of it to do all the things I have missed so much.
Being away from work will also leave me time to concentrate on creating content, which I wanted to do for weeks now but simply didn’t have enough hours during the day to get to it.
Looking back at the calendar, I can’t believe it has already been two weeks I am here, out of the month I have to enjoy my holidays. Time flies by way too quickly when you are having a good time.
Tomorrow morning, I am heading to Paris. I can’t wait to have a serious overdose on all the art and culture the city has to offer. I have been missing it
One of the biggest exposition I am extremely excited to see is the Dior at the Musée des Arts décoratifs. I have only heard great things and already purchased my ticket online to avoid any unecessary time wasted lining up, as I heard the queue can get really long.
I also plan to have a little trip to the famous
library Shakespeare and Company and purchase one of their stamped book.
You will for sure see a lot more of my trip in the weeks to come as I will play the tourist and take as many photos as I possibly can throughout the rest of my vacation in France.
Until next time…
