So, as I previously in mentioned last Friday Books, I will be reviewing a new book each week and sharing with you what will be my next read.

Last week, I introduce to you More Than This by Patrick Ness. It was my first ever Patrick Ness novel, and I wasn’t disappointed.

It will be very hard for me to review this book due to the fact that I strongly believe you should dive into it without really knowing much details about the storyline.

At the beginning, the main character, dies. He then wakes up, half naked, in an empty world, not knowing where he is exactly and what he is doing there. The storyline then starts unfolding from there with some twist and turns and lots of unanswered questions.

I feel that this is all I can tell you. I do not want to ruin your experience diving into the story.

What I can tell you is that Patrick Ness has an amazing writing style, that the story is mysterious and I am still not fully sure on what happened but it’s okay because that was the point.

I hope I intrigued you enough to pick it up.

Since I was so mesmerised with his writing, I finally decided to pick up The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. I have been meaning to read this series for a long time, I hope I will love it as much as I loved this previous book.

What did you guys read this week?

by Patrick Ness

A boy drowns, desperate and alone in his final moments. He dies.

Then he wakes, naked and bruised and thirsty, but alive.

How can this be? And what is this strange deserted place?

As he struggles to understand what is happening, the boy dares to hope. Might this not be the end? Might there be more to this life, or perhaps this afterlife?

From multi-award-winning Patrick Ness comes one of the most provocative and moving novels of our time.
